Before the weddings, the business and the thousands of photographs, there was just me and a camera.

But the camera was never really the whole point. The people were.

The families. The friendships. The little looks. The big laughs. The personalities. The moments that happen naturally when everyone forgets about the camera. That’s the part I’m always watching for.

I started with a camera from my grandparents, spent hours fascinated by the darkroom at school, then went on to teach Art, Design & Photography for 12 years before building the business I have today. And after hundreds of weddings, I still get just as excited about meeting the people behind each one.

I’m calm, organised and cheerful, which is very handy on a wedding day! If timings change, the weather turns or something unexpected happens, I’ll think on my feet and keep things moving without adding to the stress.

Most of all, I want you to feel comfortable with me. Like you can relax, be yourselves and trust that I’ve got it covered.

Between Coast & Countryside

From the North Devon beaches to Exmoor and Dartmoor, I’ve got the best of the coast and countryside right on my doorstep.

Originally from Nottinghamshire, Devon has been home since 2010

After getting married, Adrian and I packed up and moved south to build our life near the sea, and we’ve never looked back. These days I’m based in Braunton, close to some of North Devon’s best beaches, with Exmoor and Dartmoor never too far away.

When I’m not photographing weddings, you’re most likely to find me outdoors. Walking the coast path, heading across the moors, planning another adventure, watching the sunset or escaping in our campervan. There’s usually a hot chocolate involved somewhere too!

I’m also a qualified mountain leader (I did mention I’m outdoorsy), so if your wedding plans involve nature, wild views, walking boots, waves or a bit of wind in your hair, count me in.

The people I love are the reason I notice yours

Family has always mattered hugely to me, and I think that’s one of the reasons I notice those relationships so much at weddings. Life moves quickly, and photographs of the people we love often become more valuable with time.

And when I’m photographing a wedding, I’m always watching for the people around you too.

The grandparents hugging.
The look that says everything on a parent’s face.
The friends who go way back.
The children creating wonderful chaos.
The dancing with the people who know you best.

Those are often the photographs that end up meaning the most, sometimes more than you realise at the time.

Which is why I am always looking beyond the obvious moments and paying attention to the people around you too.

I’m a mum to Ethan, who is a talented swimmer, drummer and all-round superstar.
Because Ethan is a keen drummer, family gigs are a big thing in our house. From Blink-182 to Foo Fighters, we always make the most of live music when we can (or play it equally loudly in our house).
I’ve always adored architecture (both historic and modern). I love the stories behind the buildings.
I am a willing servant to three cats: Patch, Lunar and Leo. All three are absolutely convinced the house belongs to them.
I’m a workaholic and I’m happiest when I’ve got a project on the go!
